The Next Step

"I'm a nurse

Care for the caregiver:

resets for the mind and body
through working with horses

Our unmounted program working in partnership with our horses, designed to help those who help others.

Frequently caregivers pride themselves on their ability to put their own needs aside to "get the job done".

"I signed up for this."
"There will be time for me later."
"I knew what I was getting into."
"I'm a nurse/firefighter/doctor/cop/EMT/parent/essential employee...it's my job..."

But all beings have a limited bandwidth, and you can't pour from an empty glass.

It doesn't have to be so hard.

We can help.

No Veteran or First Responder ever pays to attend our sessions...it is our privilege to serve those who spend every day serving others

Do you want to be in harmony, like this...

...instead of this?!?

Learn to dial in to and read  signals from the body, and learn to use them as information

Learn when and how to set healthy boundaries that sustain you, instead of drain you

Gain tools to regulate yourself, and explore how those tools can help you settle others in times of crisis.

Help bridge the daily transition between work and home life for all family members.

Take the first steps to "unpack your stuff"

Practice mindfulness and presence, and how to "let it go", and "go back to grazing".

Why Horses?
Horses Don’t Lie
Horses are transparent; how they feel is how they act. Horses don’t care about where you live, what you are wearing or where you are going after this.  They exist in the here and now, and will let you know exactly how they are feeling at this instant.

The Prey Animal
Horses are hyper-vigilant; they exist in a state where they are constantly scanning their environment for information that will keep them alive.  They can detect heart rate, respiration and muscle tension of others from 30 feet away.  They are one big instant natural biofeedback mechanism.

Earned Trust
A horse survives by determining quickly whether or not they can trust the intentions of those around them.  To partner with and earn the trust of a 1,000 pound animal who exists in the here and now is a heartwarming and empowering experience.  Horses help us to identify what we are experiencing at the moment, and can offer insight into emotional regulation and resonance.

...and the work is fun, too!
